FUTURE TREASURESTulare County is already rich in the number and variety of built and natural places that have been conserved by far-seeing citizens "in perpetuity" so that we and future generations may be enriched by their legacy of beauty, history, discovery, and continuity. For over 120 years, the people of this county have been adding to this unique and priceless heritage. Their work is not done. Somewhere in Tulare County, today and every day, dedicated citizens are dreaming and doing, working to conserve a beautiful building, a significant historic site, or a well-loved landscape so that their special qualities and features will not be lost or damaged, but instead will be protected and made accessible so that all of us may enjoy them, even if only by knowing that they're there.
If you know of such a place, that deserves to become a Tulare County Treasure, or of such an effort, to officially conserve or register a Treasure, please tell us about it, via Contact Us on this website.
If it meets the criteria for our website:
Every community in Tulare County may find a Treasure to share, along its streets or on the land nearby. We're hoping to hear from all of you, and to keep adding every year to this inspiring legacy of land and people. December, 2012 |
